About
Economics is the storyline that has shaped the history of humankind. The symbols of economic progress would have been a dazzling sight to our ancient ancestors. Today we have sparkling cosmopolitan cities that sit alongside decrepit slums. Roads, planes and trains reach to every corner of the globe. Our unimaginable wealth and lifestyle are juxtaposed with cruel inequalities and devastation of the environment.
Our opinion starters seek to unravel the economic world around us by seeking deeper truths. We move away from the drab analysis that plagues modern commentary. We want our articles to be a living, breathing form of economics. Something that dissects the trivial and substantive issues of our generation in a whimsical, entertaining way.
Who is Dynamic Economics?
My name is Zubin Meher-Homji, and I founded Dynamic Economics in 2014. The venture gives advice to energy firms on how to improve value through innovative thinking. This draws on my experience of working as professional economist in the energy sector for over 10 years.
I want my web space to be creative and personal, rather than just a clone of a typical consultant. And I love writing. So I decided to ignore all sane advice, and make this into my own project – independent and original articles that take on any topic that loosely resembles economics.
I rarely use words like partial equilibrium and game theory. What drives me is a vision of a healthy, vibrant and inclusive society that lives in harmony with the natural world. Economics is a powerful tool to achieve this lofty ambition.
